Elisa is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge, UK. She received her PhD in Public Health Sciences from the Università degli studi di Milano, Italy. Her research focuses on the use of quantitative methods and mathematical modelling to describe and predict the dynamics of infectious diseases of public health concern, with a particular focus on providing inferences to prevent/intervene zoonotic transmission. Her current research links the use of mechanistic models to understand the drivers of Hendra virus infection in Australian flying foxes across space and time. email: elisa.fesce@yahoo.com
