Daniel Becker, Collaborator, USA
Daniel is an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biology at Indiana University. He received his PhD from the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia in 2017, during which he began a longitudinal study of diet, immunity, and infection in Neotropical bats in Belize. His research combines theoretical models, macroecology, and mark-recapture field studies to ask how zoonoses are transmitted and persist in bat and bird populations, how anthropogenic shifts in food resources alter reservoir host immunity and infection, and whether host competence is predictable across spatial and taxonomic scales.
