Kwe Claude Yinda, Postdoc, USA/Cameroon
Kwe is a postdoctoral researcher at the NIH/NIAID’s Rocky Mountains Laboratory, Hamilton, Montana. He received his Bachelor and Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Buea in Cameroon. He later earned his PhD from University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium studying Viral Metagenomics. In particular, Kwe investigated viral gastroenteritis in humans and the potential threat of bat viruses to human health. He is interested in uncovering and describing novel and emerging viruses, their potential to cause human diseases and factors that determine cross-species transmissions of viruses.
