Mohammed is currently holding dual position as Coordinator of IDD Laboratories and Associate Scientist at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) and leading zoonotic viral discovery of Infectious Diseases Division, icddr,b. He is a full time laboratory based scientist. Mohammed has a broad background in microbial culture and genotyping for more than 18 years. His research interests include respiratory pathogens, especially influenza and other respiratory viruses, zoonotic viruses and molecular ecology. He has been one of the lab leads for Nipah virus genotyping in Bangladesh.
