Sylvester is a Research Assistant at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens, University of Ghana, where he assists with research on the dynamics of filovirus infection in bats in Ghana. He is in charge of the transfer of a viral pseudotype neutralization assay technology from the UK to Ghana. Sylvester has a keen interest in research that seek to better understand the tolerance of viral reservoirs to pathogenic viruses transmitted to humans. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology and a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry, both from the University of Ghana.
